An account exists so EasyShow can keep your things and hand them back on any device. Here is everything it keeps and why.
- Your email address and a name to greet you by. The address is how you sign in and how a password reset reaches you — nothing else is sent to it.
- Your lists and favourites: the breeds you follow, the notes you write on them, and the names you give them yourself. They are yours, they are shown to nobody else, and a name you rename is never added to the shared catalogue.
- Your settings: interface language, dark or light, text size, and your picture if you added one. They travel with the account so a phone at the ring looks like the laptop at home.
- We do not sell any of it and we do not pass it to anyone. The only outside service that sees anything is Google Analytics, and only if you allowed it — that is a separate question, asked separately.
Write to us and the account goes, with the lists and the notes in it.
Where it is kept
On a server in Dallas, in the United States, rented from a hosting company — so your data leaves the European Union. That transfer rests on the standard contractual clauses in the agreement with that company. Google Analytics, if you allowed it, processes on its own infrastructure under its own terms.
For how long
Your account and its lists for as long as the account exists, and no longer. The visitor counter keeps its rows for two years. Google Analytics keeps its own for fourteen months.
What you can ask for
Any of these, at any time, by email or through the feedback form. An answer comes within a month.
- A copy of everything held about you, and a plain answer to what it is for.
- A correction, if something is wrong. Your name and email you can change yourself in Settings.
- Deletion of the account and everything in it. Nothing is kept back afterwards.
- Your lists as a file you can take somewhere else.
- A stop, or a pause, on any of it — and analytics you can switch off yourself on the cookies page, whenever you like.
- And if the answer does not satisfy you, a complaint to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (cnpd.pt). Asking here first is not required.
